The works shown together with the winning sculpture work of the Nocivelli competition are part of a research carried out over the last period. They are ceramics inspired by the legend of an ancient Augur. Augurs were Roman priests with the gift of divination, by using certain tools they were able to interpret the signs of nature in order to predict the future. However, the story tells of an Augur who made predictions thanks to a particular structure of his auditory apparatus, a real double system, thanks to which the Augur was able to hear sounds from the past and the future… but not his present. The exhibited works are inspired by this story.
